Dr. E.K. Annan, a former Senior Lecturer in electrical engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Nexans Kabelmetal (Ghana) Ltd. by the Board of Directors of the Company. He assumed duty on June 15, 2004.

Dr. Annan, an alumnus of KNUST and the University of Oklahoma, Norman, USA, has lectured in several universities since 1979. He was appointed a member of the Board of ECG in March 1998 and subsequently appointed as its acting Managing Director from October 2000 to May 2001.

He was the chairman of the Board of Directors of Nexans Kabelmetal in Ghana during this period. He is a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers and is married with three children.
